Big Brothers Big Sisters brings Ribfest to Quinte in 2007!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hastings & Prince Edward Counties is delighted to be bringing a unique outdoor festival to the Quinte area.

August 17th, 18th & 19th 2007 will see the launch of the 1st Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Quinte Ribfest. This soon to be annual event will be a signature fundraising initiative for the United Way member agency that serves children and families in the community.

This weekend event boasts several exciting features such a great ribs, entertainment and a place for families to come and enjoy the festivities. “We hope to raise much-needed funds for the agency and create an event that the whole family can enjoy.

We are really excited about this new initiative and look forward to sharing more details with the community as they become available.” said Amy Watkins, Executive Director. The Quinte Ribfest will feature award winning ribbers serving up the most unbelievably, delicious barbecue ribs, pulled pork, and chicken and other festival treats.

Great live entertainment and events for the whole family will make this a must attend event. So bring an appetite because this is one barbecue you can’t miss!
