"The House Team" wins provincial honour for professional service

Talk about an intelligent award-winning team.

"The House Team" of Mortgage Intelligence walked away from one of the province's most prestigious awards ceremonies last week with the top prize: the Ontario Top Professionalism Award.

"We were astonished," said Peter House, who has owned and operated the North Front Street business with wife Debra for 12 Years.

"Our No. 1 goal has always been to serve our clients with the utmost professionalism and ethical practice - which is why this award means so much to us."

The honour, handed out during a gala banquet in Toronto hosted by the Independent Mortgage Brokers Association of Ontario, was one of only a handful passed out during the ceremony.

"The IMBA has 1,545 members across the province who could have been give this award, so to pick up an award for how we conduct business with our clients on a day-to-day basis is really a nice feather in our cap."

The business was also nominated for an award in the Top Marketing Plan Category.

Mortgage Intelligence, which employs eight financial and mortgage experts known as "The House Team" is primarily a locally owned business, House said.

In February, the business was placed within the top eight brokers in the country during a national awards ceremony.

"We were up for Broker of the Year and Best Customer Service ... and on the national circuit, there are 15,000 members. So just to be mentioned in the top eight brokers in the country is something," House said.

"So far in 2007, we've had a wonderful year for awards and recognition."
